A word from Managing Director, Fabian Pasquini..
The 2020 year has come to an end and like most businesses, we have had our set of challenges. COVID-19 has seen us shift our workforce of 140 plus people to work from home at a moment’s notice and rethink the way we operate. Who would have thought video conferencing would suddenly become the norm for a business who prides itself on being face to face with our clients. Despite the challenges, I am proud of how our team embraced the new normal. No doubt it hasn’t been easy for some of our team, but I feel they have come out stronger than ever and maintained their focus on what’s most critical.. you, our clients.
At Adroit, supporting the local community is key component of our DNA.. So, we are proud that we have been able to continue supporting many local initiatives in 2020. We began the year showing our support for those who were sadly victims of the December / January bushfires in NSW and Victoria. We were able to raise $4467.00 funds and donate this to the Bushfire appeal.
Our Albury team have supported The Border Trust Foundation, Albury – Wodonga with many various projects during the year including the Border Trust Big Give campaign which shared funds through the local community.
During 2020, in Geelong we have proudly supported the Give Where You Live Foundation – Give Geelong Appeal – supporting those severely impacted by COVID 19. Due to the restrictions, we were unable to hold our annual Geelong charity Golf Day but we still supported our community partners at the Geelong Community Foundation with a donation for their upcoming grants.
In Gippsland, our team were able to help by volunteering their time in the kitchen during the Father Micks initiative at the beginning of the year. The team helped make soup for those in need in the region. Our team in Bendigo have supported the Bendigo Spirit, Women’s National Basketball League team during a Covid affected season.
The team in Ballarat have supported the Walking off the War Within foundation which helps past service men and women suffering mental health issues. Additionally, Ballarat has also supported local community sports clubs including the Ballarat Basketball Association. Our team at Hawthorn, maintained their ongoing support to the Les Twentyman Foundation to help it continue its good work with underprivileged youth in Melbourne.
So, despite Covid -19 with all its uncertainty and challenge our teams continued to provide valid community support during a year like no other. At the same time, they were also able to maintain ongoing service and support to you, our valued clients. For that I am truly grateful to all of our staff for their continued efforts and focus.
As a business, we could not reach such achievements without the ongoing support and loyalty from you, our clients. We truly value our ongoing relationship. To all our clients we wish you, your families and loved ones a very Merry Christmas. May you have a safe healthy end to 2020 and look forward to leaping into a more prosperous and steadier 2021.
