Adroit Insurance & Risk and McKern Steel Charity Golf Day Raises $35,000 for the Bendigo community
The inaugural Adroit Insurance & Risk and McKern Steel Charity Golf Day was held at the Bendigo Golf Course, bringing together local businesses and community leaders for a memorable day of friendly competition and philanthropy. The event united participants around a shared goal of supporting the Bendigo Health Foundation and helping to provide vital care to some of the region’s most vulnerable newborns.
Funds raised from this year’s Golf Day will directly benefit Bendigo Health’s Special Care Nursery, enabling the purchase of a new ATOM Incubator, a critical piece of equipment that supports the care and recovery of premature and unwell babies. The addition of this incubator will help ensure families across the Bendigo region have access to the highest standard of care during some of life’s most challenging moments.
The event exemplified the power of community collaboration, with overwhelming support from sponsors, players and volunteers alike. It was a day filled with camaraderie, good-natured rivalry and a shared commitment to making a difference. Adroit Insurance & Risk’s Chris Malone said the level of support for the day was outstanding. “The support for the day has been overwhelming, and we’re proud to contribute in a small way to the incredible work of the Bendigo Health Foundation. It’s rewarding to know that the funds raised will help purchase vital equipment to support some of the most vulnerable newborns in our community. A big thank you to all the sponsors, players and volunteers who made the day such a success,” he said.
McKern Steel’s Michael McKern said it was wonderful to see the community unite for such an important cause. “It is always great to see the community get together and support our local charities that make a difference in many people’s lives. Good people always achieve good things,” he said.
Bendigo Health Foundation’s Shaun Spence said the Foundation was proud to be the beneficiary of the Adroit Insurance & Risk and McKern Steel Charity Golf Day and grateful for the overwhelming community support. “We would like to express our gratitude to the organisers, sponsors, golf club and everyone who participated in making this such a successful event. The funds from the day will directly enable the purchase of a new incubator for the Bendigo Health Special Care Nursery to provide support for premature and unwell babies. Thank you for making this possible and improving care for families for years to come,” he said.
The Adroit Insurance & Risk and McKern Steel Charity Golf Day not only raised vital funds but also strengthened bonds across Bendigo’s business and community sectors. It marked the beginning of a new tradition, one that celebrates teamwork, generosity and the spirit of giving back.
As participants enjoyed a day of golf and goodwill, their collective efforts ensured a brighter, healthier future for local families in Bendigo.
