The 21st annual Adroit Insurance & Risk Charity Golf Day was held on Thursday, 21st November, at 13th Beach Golf Links in Barwon Heads. The event brought together local businesses for a day of camaraderie and community spirit, all in support of the Geelong region.

A total of 156 players took to the course to compete for the prestigious Adroit Charity Golf Day Cup, with Harveys of Highton emerging as the winners. The evening’s festivities were hosted by professional golfer and 3AW/SEN radio presenter Mark Allen, with Duncan Skene of Maxwell Collins lending his talents as auctioneer for an impressive range of auction items.

The event raised an outstanding $110,715. Of this, $75,000 was allocated to the Adroit Insurance & Risk capital grant, while the remaining funds supported Adroit’s community partner, the Geelong Community Foundation.

This year, the $75,000 Adroit capital grant was awarded to The Empowerment Challenge, a remarkable Geelong-based organization dedicated to supporting younger mothers. The grant will fund a new van for the program, enhancing its ability to provide long-term accessibility to services that promote mental health, well-being, mentorship, and community connection. The Empowerment Challenge empowers younger mums by providing a safe, supportive space that fosters connections, respect, and self-worth across three dedicated groups in Geelong.

Adroit Insurance & Risk’s Geelong Managing Principal, Tim Holloway said “We’re proud to contribute to The Empowerment Challenge’s impactful work through this year’s capital grant. We extend our gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and supporters who made the day such a success, further strengthening the Geelong community.”
